FAQ What qualifications do I need? No formal qualifications are necessary, but excellent communication skills are essential. We will train you in the techniques required to be successful, and whether your motivation for working for us is financial or a desire to make the world a better place, you will find DialogueDirect a fulfilling place to work. Which charities does DialogueDirect represent? Over the years, DialogueDirect has worked with many internationally renowned charities around the world. Currently, in the United States, we are representing Children International with further projects in the pipeline. How does it work? In many ways the direct personal appeal is the oldest form of fundraising, and also one of the most successful. It works because the direct personal appeal, one human being to another, is so powerful. We will provide you with professional fundraising training, and dedicated charity training, such that you are well prepared for a successful role as a dialoguer. You will then be supported and led on your team by a Team Manager, experienced in this approach. How much money will I earn? You are always guaranteed a base pay of $10.00 /hr, with the potential to make a lot more through our daily performance bonuses. Successful dialoguers regularly earn in excess of $1000 per week. Am I paid on commission? No, pay is not directly related to the funds you raise; you get a fixed hourly rate + bonuses. What are my hours? Dialoguers generally work 8 hours per day, anywhere from 10am to 8pm with a one hour break for lunch, though schedules may vary depending on operational and environmental requirements. Full-time and part-time positions are available, 2 days for part-time and 5 days for full-time are required. You may pick your days from Mon-Sat. What opportunities are there for career advancement? There are great opportunities for excellent dialoguers to progress within our organization. If hard working, dependable and successful, a dialoguer can move forward into positions such as Team Leader, Coach, Campaign Manager or Regional Manager. All our senior operational staff members are former dialoguers, having progressed through the ranks in this way. Occasionally there are also varied job opportunities at our Headquarter Office in NYC or in other companies across The Dialog Group internationally. As a dialoguer, am I eligible for benefits? Yes! We offer our team members a comprehensive benefits package upon the completion of 90 days. Eligible staff will receive medical, dental and vision coverage. Where are the training sessions conducted? Trainings are conducted in the city where the dialoguer is hired. Each city campaign is self-contained, with support provided from our HQ in New York. |
